Coil Winder Job Description of Duties:
- Operate wire-coiling machinery to wind wire or sheet coils for use in transformers.
- Review job orders and specifications to identify required materials and types of parts for processing.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting winding sheets, drawings, and sketches.
- Use winding lathes, punches, brakes, slitters, and shears for machine operation.
- Employ pliers and wire scrapers to cut, strip, and bend wire leads at coil ends.
- Load materials, workpieces, and machine parts onto winding equipment.
- Document production and operational data on designated forms.
- Attach, modify, and trim materials such as wire, insulation, and coils using hand tools.
- Precisely inspect and test components for quality control with measuring devices, and record test results.
- Apply adhesives or glue to wired electrical components using hand tools, and perform component baking.
- Meet the Controlled Magnetics' company standards for safety, quality, and quantity of work.

Consistently being on-time with basic mechanical knowledge required with possible transformer manufacturing and quality control testing experience.
