Controlled Magnetics manufactures custom three phase drive isolation transformers that feature 50/60 Hz frequencies, and are available as in 50/60 Hz frequencies, and are available in 600 volt or 5 kV class. Sizes from 1 kVA to 750 kVA. Types of drive isolation transformers include open-type and NEMA 1 type. They are reliable to improve AC/DC power quality of a variable speed drives (vfd's), UPS, and other three phase power supply applications. Our DT Series transformers are specially designed to improve the power supply quality for a non-linear load such as an ac variable frequency drive, dc drive, induction heating equipment or other SCR controllers. The Standard Features That You Want

Weight and cost are both minimized by our efficient use of aluminum winding conductors. Your installation costs are kept to a minimum through our use of finger-safe terminations on units rated less than 150 amps. Transformers with higher current ratings have solid copper tab type terminals. The UL200C temperature rating of our insulation materials are economically utilized while maintaining adequate operating safety margins.

Optional Features Available When Needed

There is no sense paying for features you don't need. That's why we've designed our standard ZST Series drive isolation transformers to include the features you must have, but to leave all others as options for you to choose only when you need them. You can specify taps, thermal switches, enclosure types and many other options to your order when you need them.

Enclosures That Meet Your Needs

While many transformer companies only offer enclosed drive isolation transformers, because they use the cabinet walls as the transformer mounting brackets, you'll be pleased to know that we'll accommodate your needs for the enclosure and mounting method you want. Whether you need open core & coil construction or enclosures for Nema 1, Nema 12 or Nema 3R applications. We'll even provide Nema 12 potted construction for maximum protection and minimum audible noise.

Broad Range of Ratings Available

Whether you need to supply power to a 2MVA load, or a 10KVA load, we design and build a transformer to meet your needs. We can handle both low voltage and medium voltage requirements.

Multi Pulse Winding Configurations

Use our DT Series transformers to supply 6-pulse, 12-pulse or 18-pulse equipment. You can also configure multiple DT Series transformers to accomplish harmonic cancellation between multiple loads.

Select our Isolation Transformers based on the total apparent power requirements of the load. Be sure to include harmonic currents when using DT Series transformers to supply non-linear loads. Drive Isolation Transformer for Non-Linear Loads

The drive isolation transformer (DT-series) is designed to distribute electrically isolated power to non-linear loads or to a combination of linear and non-linear loads. It is for use with loads that draw harmonic currents from the power source in a 3-phase, 4-wire electrical system. DT Series transformers provide circuit impedance which helps to reduce the harmonic current distortion drawn by its load(s).
